Sell your U.S. music publishing rights — and keep your masters
Every song has two copyrights: the composition (lyrics and music, often called publishing) and the master recording (the actual audio). Songbuyer.ai seeks ownership of qualifying, transferable U.S. composition interests only, for a one-time payment.
What you sell
- Your transferable U.S. songwriter/composition (publishing) interests in one qualifying song.
- Only the interests you actually own and can transfer — we review what can be included.
What you keep
- Your master recording. We don’t acquire masters or recordings.
- Your composition rights outside the United States.
Copyright ownership isn’t the same as royalty income
Owning a copyright and receiving songwriter performance-royalty income aren’t the same thing, and not every writer’s share can be transferred. If you have a PRO affiliation, publishing or administration agreement, distributor, or existing licenses, disclose them on the form — they’re reviewed, not automatically rejected.
Who this is for
Independent creators — including people who make music with Suno or other AI tools — whose song is used in at least 5,000 qualifying Instagram Reels and who personally created at least 50% of the composition. See AI-assisted song requirements and Instagram Original Audio.
Terms
Any proposal is subject to authorship and ownership verification and a signed purchase agreement. Submitting doesn’t create an agreement or transfer any rights, and not every applicant receives an offer. See how it works.
